PET FOOD EXPRESS - Sacramento

Working as Pet Food Express’s Architect of Record since 2017, we have partnered on program initiatives in close to 50 of their 60+ existing store network. In 2019, we began work on a new 8,000 sqft store in a suburb of Sacramento, CA. The Pet Food Express stores offer a variety of pet-related services, including an in house veterinary service, pet wash facilities, and dog play areas along with the merchandise for all kinds of furry and feathered friends. These varied and specialized areas required a broad technical knowledge base and design capabilities that are a touchstone of MSA’s excellent staff’s abilities. This store, situated in a new, ground-up development, allowed MSA to partner with the landlord’s architect to fulfill all of the client’s requests and provide a great environment that the owner and man’s best friend will enjoy!

PET FOOD EXPRESS - EL DORADO HILLS

The El Dorado Hills store is our second new store project with Pet Food Express. With 6,367 sf of selling and 772 sf of BOH functions, this store was slightly smaller than our first one in Sacramento. This was a new building as part of an expansion of an existing shopping center. Planning for the project started in early 2019 and due to delays with the base building construction and then the Covid-19 pandemic causing further delays, the store finally opened in April of 2021. This location included new designs for the pet wash, updated graphic installations and new features for on-line purchasing to be picked up at the store.
