MSA has a long and successful relationship with DHL. Over decades of partnership, we've built deep expertise in warehouse and air cargo facility architecture. Our work spans more than 25 million square feet of distribution and logistics space worldwide, including projects for Danzas (now known as DHL Global Forwarding) and Airborne Express (now known as DHL Express) the company's cargo airline.
MSA served as architect for multiple warehouse locations accross the U.S.. including facilities in New York, Philadelphia, Tennessee, Illinois, Texas, Maryland, and Florida, as well as a major air and ocean facility in Redondo Beach, California. Internationally we have designed facilities in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and South America.
Many of these projects required close coordination with airport authorities and FAA permitting, since air cargo and logistics facilities are often sited on or near active airports. These environments bring added complexity including strict security and access requirements, tight construction windows due to flight operations, and design standards that must account for runway proximity. MSA's experience navigating these constraints, along with standard zoning and occupancy permitting, has helped us deliver DHL's facilities on time and ready to operate.
